AGENCY: Centers for Medicare &
Medicaid Services (CMS), HHS.
ACTION: Proposed rule.
SUMMARY: The proposed rule would
revise the Medicare Advantage (MA)
program (Part C) regulations and
prescription drug benefit program (Part
D) regulations to implement statutory
requirements; strengthen beneficiary
protections; exclude plans that perform
poorly; improve program efficiencies;
and clarify program requirements. The
proposed rule also includes several
provisions designed to improve
payment accuracy.
DATES: To be assured consideration,
comments must be received at one of
the addresses provided below, no later
than 5 p.m. on March 7, 2014.
